WoodGomoku Privacy Policy
WoodGomoku (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the WoodGomoku iOS app, a local Gomoku (five-in-a-row) learning and practice tool.
1. Information We Collect
- Anonymous device identifier (app-level UUID): Generated and stored locally in the iOS Keychain to support basic service stability and security. This is not Apple’s hardware UDID and is not used for advertising tracking.
- User-generated content: Board photos and voice study notes that you create. By default these remain on your device unless you later enable a cloud feature and give separate consent.
- Permission-related data: Requested only when you use the related feature: Photo Library, Camera, and Microphone.
- Network status: The welcome screen may check connectivity so that this policy page can load.
2. Permissions
- Photo Library: Choose board photos or study-note images.
- Camera: Capture board positions or study notes.
- Microphone: Record voice explanations or learning notes.
You can revoke these permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Related features will stop working; other features remain available.
3. How We Use and Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. The current version primarily processes data on device. If we offer cloud services in the future, we will ask for consent again and update this Policy.
4. Storage and Security
The app-level UUID is stored in the iOS Keychain. Photos and recordings are stored in the app sandbox or, if you allow it, the system Photos library. Please keep your device passcode secure.
5. Children’s Privacy
WoodGomoku is not directed to children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us and we will delete it.
6. Your Choices
In the app you may withdraw legal consent and manage related settings. You can also control permissions in iOS Settings. Uninstalling the app removes sandbox data; Keychain items may remain after reinstall.
